Dalziel + Ezra | Queenstown Adventure Wedding
Welcome to one of our favourite Queenstown Adventure Weddings! Dalziel and Ezra threw their wedding plans out the window when they heard about their friend Michelle & Charlie's idea of eloping on top of a mountain. They were deep in the midst of trying to fit everyone else's ideas into their day and realised it wasn't what they had dreamed of anymore. And if you're going to elope, you may as well go all out, right? Heck yes!!
Dalziel and Ezra fell in love with the idea of our Epic Adventure where we get to explore a little bit of everything. An alpine lake? Check! The wild west coast? Check! Milford Sound?! Check!! Snow - you guessed it! And the grand finale, the one of a kind Earnslaw Burn. Add to that, in planning a winter wedding, it was perfect timing for one of our favourite ways to end the celebration - an Astro photography shoot out in the starry skies.
Dalziel and Ezra both paid homage to their cultural roots, with Dalziel wearing an incredible family Korowai and a Heru comb for her hair, while both also had shark tooth earrings and Ezra wore pounamu around his neck.
So brace yourselves and perhaps go get a yum snack as you jump into Dalziel & Ezra's incredible wedding day...it's just a little bit like walking throug the wardrobe doors and into Narnia itself :)
Congratulations again, Dalziel and Ezra!! We had the most magical day with you both and are so humbled to have made lifelong friends along the way. Thanks for having so much fun at each incredible location and keep those beautiful smiles going strong xx

Judy + Brad | Lake Quill Elopement
Judy and Brad's September elopement to Lake Quill wasn't always planned that way! We had a beautiful afternoon for a First Look at Stoneridge Estate before jumping in the chopper for the main event. Such is spring and the relatively un-predictable behaviour of Mother Nature, we were en route to Lake Erskine when we flew over top and saw that she was still frozen solid. Given the alpine lake had been half defrosted by the same time last year, we knew it wasn't a done deal so we headed on to our plan B location - Lake Quill! Pretty incredible for a "Plan B," we think!!
Arriving to Lake Quill is always super special, with the utterly impressive Sutherland Falls precipitating the secluded and serene alpine lake that is guarded by towering peaks on every side. With the gorgeous viewpoint back down the lake to even more mountain tops - symmetric ones, just to please the eye, it's a show stopper. We cracked into a ceremony complete with belly laughs, heartfelt words and tears, all thanks to our friend Philippa, before become infatuated with the cheeky Kea that were trying to nab Judy's flowers, fur coat, champagne flutes...you name it, they were eyeing it up! With two very ready-for-adventure newly-weds, we hiked up the dress and scaled a few rocks to take in the scenery and share a few quiet moments appreciating the world around us. That is...before the departure from Lake Quill, over Sutherland Falls, where the entire helicopter all but erupted with a few yells and shouts as we descended over the waterfall!
After Lake Quill, we headed to a second landing at Earnslaw Burn. While the waterfall isn't as full in early spring, the glacier is at its best thanks to the topping of snow, plus the textures and tones of the valley are totally beautiful. The champagne was finished off, the paperwork signed and plenty of lovin' and adventuring was had before we hopping the chopper to head back to civilisation.
A big congratulations again, Judy and Brad! We had such an amazing day celebrating with you both! Thanks for being up for anything and so madly in love! Wishing you and your sweet family all the best for your futures - lots of love, joy and adventures xx

Martika + Rich | Winter Wedding Adventure
Martika and Rich first contacted us in July looking for a winter wedding adventure in Queenstown, after having to make changes to their original wedding plans in Australia. Luckily for us and them, we had a freaking awesome day that included two gorgeous landings, a starry-night shoot, CAKE plus heaps of good times!
These two are full of beans, laughter and light up every new place they visit together. When we heard that Martika announced "that was awkward" at their first kiss - a hot, crowded tube station in London - we knew we were in for some fun and lucky to be a part of their special day. Rich had even made a custom comic book based on their relationship for their sweet proposal, which was brought along to hold their vows on their wedding day.
Martika had a totally stunning arrangement of flowers by Steph at Orange Blossom Designs and combined with her gold Timberlands (yes, your read that right!), sweet headband and her beautiful embroidered gown, she looked like an absolute Queen. Rich wasn't too bad himself, looking pretty dapper in an Overcheck suit with a bowtie. We also had a mountain-inspired cake to celebrate with on the mountain, created by Melissa of Cherry Blossom Cakes.
With a first landing at Coromandel Peak, which was looking impeccably still and glassy, we had their ceremony, cake and an adventure down to the iconic lookout itself. We even had a paraglider drop in to say hello for a couple minutes before running and jumping off the side of the mountain! From there, we headed to Vanguard Peak for some fun in the snow and to watch as the sun lowered over the mountains and lit up the sky! We continued with the celebrations with a champagne shower and plenty of fun throwing snow around. Martika and Rich then headed to dinner (a delicious wedding dinner at Botswana Butchery - we're jealous!) before we picked them up to head out again once the sky was dark. We were so lucky to have the skies clear up after some low cloud had creeped in at sunset, so we made the most of it and captured a few different angles and perspectives of the newly-married couple with the stars above.
Congratulations again, Martika and Rich!!! We had the most incredible day and wish you both all of the love, luck, laughter and adventure for all your years ahead 🌟❤️

The Best Queenstown Wedding | Candace + Anthony
Candace and Anthony had the best Queenstown wedding adventure! Okay...so, we're a little biased here, but it was Warren's little sister's wedding! We were stoked when they told us they wanted to plan an intimate wedding in Queenstown with just their immediate families. And even more happy and honoured to help look after the planning and photography of their day.
Candace and Anthony chose to have their wedding ceremony at Chapel by the Lake, Stoneridge Estate. It was the perfect combination of beautiful gardens, an awesome lake/mountain view and the summer vibes with blue skies and bees buzzing around. Shortly afterwards, it was time to share our adventure lifestyle around, so we jumped on a much-anticipated chopper ride! We flew across to Lake Erskine in the Fiordland National Park, and then had a second landing on The Ridge at Cecil Peak.
Once the newly-weds were back at ground level, we joined the rest of the family celebrating the afternoon away with lawn games and drinks. Afterwards, we had a delicious dinner in the cosy Board Room. Watching the sun go down and light up the picture window was mesmerising, and before long the fire lanterns around Stoneridge Estate were lit for that extra touch of magic.
One month later, we headed over to their home on the other side of the ditch...Melbourne, Australia. Candace and Anthony had a wedding party with their friends and extended Aussie family back home, which was a fantastic wedding combination: An intimate destination wedding plus an epic rager back home. 😆
Congrats!!
Congratulations again, Candace and Anthony! We were so thrilled to be involved in your wedding day and we honestly find a new favourite photo every time we reminisce on that gorgeous summer's day. Thanks for being awesome and letting us share our slice of the world with you both. We love you both and know that you will have an incredible and joyful year ahead, with a new kind of adventure. 🥰 xx
A special shout out to the legends of the Queenstown wedding industry that came together to help us create Candace and Anthony's perfect day.

Sarah + Daniel | Twin Peaks | New Zealand Elopement Locations
Sarah and Daniel's New Zealand elopement and location is an epic story. Sarah planned their wedding on her own, to keep the destination a surprise from Daniel. The cute couple had never been to New Zealand though talked about it for a long time - dreaming of trip in the distant future! But to Daniel's happy surprise, they landed in Queenstown in early January, to start the new year on a high!
Meeting in the army and both having jobs involving helicopters, Sarah also managed to keep the mode of transport as a cool surprise for Daniel! After a romantic First Look in the gardens of their accommodation, we all hopped in the car to "drive up" to the ceremony lookout spot. Instead...we pulled up at Alpine Helicopters and it's fair to say that Daniel was pretty happy with the change of plans! High winds at Coromandel Peak led to a fortuitous diversion where we instead landed at the stunning Twin Peaks. At the time, this New Zealand elopement location was brand new to us...and new is always exciting. Not only did we have blue skies and 360 degree views of awesome-ness all around us, the Mount Cook alpine daisies were also in full bloom. The beautiful large-headed daisy blossoms for just a short period of time each summer, so it really is like a good luck charm witnessed by only a few!
During the ceremony we were greeted by four Kea singing their tune (rather insistently, we might add). Another lucky charm, as Kea are our endangered alpine parrot that are often only seen in the most remote, high altitude locations. Afterwards, we adventured around the area for some beautiful photos and had the Kea photobomb us on just a few occasions! With all the surprises going on, the wedding rings were forgotten so we had a short and sweet ring exchange before the newly-weds headed off to dinner.
Congratulations again, Sarah and Daniel! We loved being a part of your New Zealand elopement and thank you for introducing us to a wonderful new location!!! We hope that your new farm life is going really well for you both 🥰❤️ xx

Sophie + James | Cecil Peak | New Zealand Elopement
Sophie and James celebrated their New Zealand elopement on top of the mountains, overlooking Queenstown. They were joined by family for their First Look at The Hilton lakefront, before taking two witnesses to The Ridge on Cecil Peak for their wedding ceremony. We chose a landing spot on the ridgeline to maximise the golden hour before sunset.
We had so many laughs during the ceremony, particularly during their vows when slip of the tongue resulted in some hysterics! With a bundle of snow at our feet, we also had some snow fights and beautiful scenery to capture as they took in the view. Afterwards, Sophie and James re-joined their friends and family at The Little Blackwood. Very well earned cigars and cocktails were enjoyed by all - to help warm up, of course!
Congratulations again, Sophie and James! We had a mega day and would do it all over again in a heart beat! xx

Queenstown Mountain Wedding | Lisa + Philip
Introducing Lisa and Philip - two wonderful people who didn't let wildfires back home in the USA spoil their wedding plans...instead travelling here to Queenstown and adventuring with us in the best possible way.
We put together an epic itinerary with five helicopter landings; mixing the best of New Zealand's stunning views, glacial valleys, crystal clear lakes and a wild beach landing just out of Milford Sound. Starting with their ceremony on Coromandel Peak and an additional helicopter for Philip's mum and Charlotte, our celebrant, we then made our way to Lochnagar, Earnslaw Burn, Madagascar Beach and finally sunset on Mt Crichton. For the six-hour adventure, we pulled together an A-star team of local suppliers, including a collaboration with Shotover Wedding Films whose incredible film we will share soon.
Lisa's breath-taking dress was created by international designer Galia Lahav and paired with Dolce & Gabbana heels that survived the mountains but were switched out for trusty sneakers on the wet beach.
Lisa and Philip were smiling from ear-to-ear all day long and had the best time laughing, running and jumping across New Zealand's wild but beautiful landscape. We had such an incredible experience and can't thank the happy couple enough for allowing us to be a part of their day and craft this once-in-a-lifetime experience alongside them. Congratulations! xx

Queenstown Mountain Weddings | Sinead + David
Sinead and David flew over from Australia to elope at our favourite location, Lake Erskine.
The lake was absolutely magical, with perfect reflections across the rich blue, glacial melt.
We then made our way to the Humboldts for a grassy landing with views up the northern reaches of Lake Wakatipu.
Sinead and David also brought along their two young children, who had a blast on the mountains, and superb babysitting skills from Charlotte and Craig.
Thanks again for an incredible adventure! xx
